DWC Announcements
Deposit Refunds, Banquet Dates & Registration, Singlet Return, Rock River Rapids Party
Every Monday in March (that’s March 8, 15, 22 and 29th) from 6:15 until 7:30 p.m. we will hold a singlet turn-in at Derby High School. (Watch the website and email for last minute practices changes to the Middle School
—singlet turn-in will take place at whichever location has practice that day.)
At that time, tournament and singlet deposits will be refunded, as well as registration to attend the end of year banquet to be held on
Sunday April 25th from 3-5 p.m. at the Derby Middle School Cafeteria.
The format for the banquet has changed slightly this year. As always we welcome all our wrestlers and their families to attend,
but we ask that you pay the $10 family fee when you register for the banquet and give us your best guess
on how many people in your family will attend. The club will provide pizza and subs for all, this will help us gauge the food count.
We will make plaques for all the wrestlers who pre-register. If you cannot attend on the 25th but would like a plaque,
please make arrangements in advance with DeAnn (6kansasillini@cox.net) so that we can get the plaque to you.
In the past we have issued singlet and tournament deposits at the banquet, and while we will still be
happy to accept returned singlet’s at any time
THE LAST DAY TO RECEIVE A SINGLET OR TOURNAMENT DEPOSIT WILL BE Monday March 29th.
This will greatly reduce the paperwork and “lines” at the banquet and allow everyone to focus on the accomplishments of all the kids.
Lastly, mark the evening of Sunday July 25th on your calendar. The DWC along with the Derby Swim Club has reserved Rock River Rapids for an after-hours party. Details will be emailed and on the website as the event nears. If you would like a reminder notice mailed to your home please address a postcard available at singlet turn-in.
To recap:
Singlet turn-in, banquet registration and refunds will take place on all the Monday’s in March from 6:15-7:30. Bring your singlet (two if you have not yet returned the old style one) and know if you plan to register for the end-of-season banquet held on April 25. Estimate the number of family members attending and pay the $10 fee.
